Lori P. Sarageno Prior to joining Pauly, DeVries Smith & Deffner, LLC, Lori was Director of Intellectual Property for Segetis, Inc., a “green” chemistry startup company, where she managed a substantial patent and trademark portfolio. Her responsibilities included patent drafting and prosecution, foreign filing strategy development, drafting of non-disclosure agreements, and joint development agreements. Lori also worked as an Associate at the law firm of Merchant & Gould, P.C., where she gained expertise in drafting and prosecuting patent applications, client counseling, and in support of litigation and infringement analyses in the chemical, pharmaceutical, and mechanical arts. Prior to becoming an attorney, Lori spent a combined 15 years as a researcher at 3M and General Electric Corporate Research and Development. She is a co-inventor on 20 issued patents. Lori has expertise in a broad range of chemical and mechanical technologies including general organic and polymer synthesis and applications, inkjet and flexographic printing materials, coating technologies, extrusion technologies including multilayer and profile extrusion, microreplication, adhesives, security materials, electronic paper, fabric protective chemicals, inorganic colloids and nanocomposites, rheological additives, silicone polymers, fine fibers, crosslinking mechanisms, and filtration materials.
