Jennifer J. Huang Jenny has experience writing and prosecuting patents for both domestic and international clients. Her areas of technical knowledge include medical devices, software, hardware, and mechanical devices. Prior to joining Pauly, DeVries Smith & Deffner, LLC, Jenny spent two and a half years at Patterson, Thuente, Skaar & Christensen, P.A. where she gained experience drafting patent applications, providing litigation support, counseling clients, and assisting with portfolio management. As an undergraduate, Jenny was exposed to variety of areas in electrical engineering and focused her Senior Honors Project on optics. Additionally, Jenny spent two summers at IBM in Rochester, MN, working on the development of the Cell processor, which was jointly created by IBM, Sony, and Toshiba. While at IBM, Jenny was recognized by IBM Intellectual Property Law as a first-time submitter to the invention program. Since 2005, Jenny has been actively involved with the Race for Justice 5K, an annual fun run organized by the University of Minnesota Law School to raise money to meet the legal needs of low-income Minnesotans by subsidizing education debts for public interest attorneys.
